About Bhutta Family
Bhutta Family is a private site and only for Bhutta Family members. So, please always add those persons who belongs to Bhutta Family.

Bhutta (Urdu: بھٹہ) are Suryavanshi Rajputs The Bhutta are descended from a branch of the Solar Rajputs .

"The Bhutta are said by the late Mr E O Brien to have traditions connecting them with Hindustan., and they claim to have descended from Solar Rajputs. But since the rise to opulence and importance of Pirzada Murad Baksh Bhutta of Multan, many of them have taken to calling themselves Pirzadas"..[1] Some Bhuttas are Arain as is Naseer Bhutta MNA from Lahore, and some are Jats as is Habibullah Bhutta MPA from Bahawalpur. “But the Bhutta claim descent from Raja Bhutta, fifth in descent from Raja Karn and say they were forcibly converted even earlier, by Muhammad of Ghazni and driven from Uch”

[2] They mostly lived on the outer rims of India and thus were India's first line of defense against intruders. After Raja Dahir's defeat at the hands of Muhammad Bin Qasim in 712 AD, a Rajput ruler - Raja Bhutta (sometimes also written as Bhutta Raja) captured one of Raja Dahir's cities and renamed it Bhutta Wahan. The city still exists today and is located 16 km north of Rahim Yar Khan on the banks of the lost river of Hakra.

Bhutta Wahan is also known as the birth place of Sassi (from Sassi and Pannun fame) and Abul-Fazal and Faizi, renowned courtesans in Mughal Emperor Akbar's court.

After the death of Raja Bhutta, his son Ang Pal became the ruler. During Ang Pal's rein, Bhutta Wahan was invaded by an Arab army. Ang Pal died fighting while his six brothers managed to escape. The family dispersed in various directions and most of them embraced Islam.

During the rein of Sultan Rukn-u-din Feroz Shah (1229 AD ~ 1236 AD), one of Raja Bhutta's descendants, Muhammad Sadiq Bhutta migrated to the city of Sialkot from Uch. Muhammad Sadiq Bhutta took employment in the court of the Governor of Punjab and as a reward for his services was awarded a jagir of about 30 villages (one of these villages - Kotli Bhutta, is still in the possession of his descendants). Large number of Bhutta families are living in Kabir wala and Shorkot. In Shorkot City Mr. Nawab Deen Bhutta (Late) was famous man in his tribe and now his sons (Muhammad Sarfraz Bhutta, Muhammad Suleman Bhutta, Abdul Rehman Bhutta and Abdur Razzaq Bhutta) are also.

There two Kotli Bhutta Exists, one on the Wazirabad road and the other close to Kotli Loharan Near River Chanaab.
